Independence Day Assembly

Presented by Class :Pre Primary C

Date: 13.08.2025

Class Pre-Primary-C presented a vibrant and heartfelt assembly to mark the 79th Independence Day of India. The programme began with a warm welcome and prayer, followed by short speeches highlighting the significance of the day. Children dressed as soldiers from the Army, Navy, and Air Force participated in a march past, saluting the nation.

A colourful parade of freedom fighters – Mahatma Gandhi, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh, and Rani Laxmi Bai – honoured the heroes who secured our independence. Students recited the poem “My Freedom and Me” and shared reasons why they love India. The celebration was enriched with a lively patriotic dance performance.

The event concluded with the National Anthem, and the children were blessed by Principal Dr. Ram Singh, the Vice Principal ma'am Ms.Soni Saxena, and Senior Mistress Ms. Roopa Arora. The programme reflected the young learners’ pride, respect, and love for their country.

Preschool-F Health & Fitness Assembly: Learning Healthy Habits with Fun

The children of Preschool - F conducted an informative Health and Fitness Assembly, especially to build awareness of healthy habits among young children in a fun and engaging manner. The assembly began with a warm welcome, followed by a brief talk on healthy eating habits. Children learned the importance of including fruits, vegetables, and milk products like curd and cheese in their meals. They were told how these foods help build strong bones, boost energy, and keep them active. This followed an an energizing yoga session, where children enthusiastically followed simple yoga asanas to help them understand how movement and calm breathing keep our body and mind strong.

One of the most exciting moments was the Health Product Fashion Show. The little ones walked the ramp dressed as milk products, a basket full of vegetables and fruit. Each child showcased the health benefit of their chosen item, delighting the audience with their confidence. The assembly ended with a joyful dance performance, where the children danced to lively music, spreading the message that fitness can be fun too!

The assembly was a perfect blend of learning, movement, and fun—teaching our little ones the importance of good health habits.

Janmashtami Celebration

The Pre-Primary Wing celebrated Janmashtami with immense joy and enthusiasm. The young learners eagerly participated in mukut (crown) and matki decoration activities, while many came dressed as Radha and Krishna. The colorful crowns, beautifully adorned matkis, and vibrant costumes enhanced the festive spirit, creating a lively and devotional atmosphere. The celebration was truly memorable and filled with happiness for everyone.

The children learned about the importance of Independence Day, explored India's cultural heritage, participated in creative activities and cultivated a sense of pride and connection to their country.

Pre-School D Assembly - Thought Provoking Assembly

Our young students of Pre-School D showcased a thought-provoking assembly, emphasizing the significance of peaceful co-existence. The program commenced with a warm welcome address, followed by a prayer led by the children. Student speakers eloquently highlighted the importance of peace and harmony in our daily lives. The little ones then delighted the audience with a catchy rhyme about peace, spreading a message of love and unity.

The assembly concluded on a lively note with an action song, where students creatively portrayed animals, reminding us of the importance of treating all living beings with kindness and respect.

Pre-Primary A Class Assembly: Emotions

Pre-Primary A, students showcased their emotional intelligence through a creative assembly. They expressed that emotions are a natural part of life, and understanding them is key. Pre-Primary H Celebrates Earth Day with Enthusiasm and Creativity

On 1st May 2025, the students of Pre-Primary H conducted a special assembly to mark Earth Day. The program began with a heartfelt prayer, setting a thoughtful tone for the event. This was followed by a lively Nukkad Natak (street play), where the young students creatively conveyed the importance of keeping our Earth clean, green, and happy. The assembly concluded with an engaging action song, performed with cheerful singing and coordinated movements, leaving the audience inspired and delighted.

Graduation Assembly Celebration by Pre-School Students

The Graduation Assembly was beautifully conducted by the students of Pre-School A, B and G for the Pre-Primary students. The event began with a prayer, seeking blessings for the young graduates. A skit was presented, showcasing their experiences and learnings. Inspiring thoughts were shared, followed by a melodious English and Hindi song. A lively dance performance was given, adding joy to the celebration. Finally, students expressed their journey through heartfelt reflections.

The event concluded with a proud moment as the Pre-Primary children walked onto the stage to collect their graduation certificates. They also displayed a placard with a meaningful quote, offering a lifelong lesson to remember.

Republic Day Special Assembly Celebration

Presented by Classes: Pre School C & H

The Republic Day Special Assembly was celebrated with great solemnity and grandeur on 25th January 2024. The students of Pre-School C and H presented a vibrant assembly to mark the occasion. The program began with the patriotic song Vande Mataram, which instilled a sense of patriotism among the audience. The young performers marched spiritedly to the tune of Kadam Kadam Badaye Ja, followed by an energetic dance performance.

The assembly concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks by Senior Mistress, Ms. Roopa Arora, who commended the little ones for their remarkable performance. The program ended on a high note with the singing of the National Anthem.

A Joyous Christmas Celebration: Spreading Love, Cheer, and Festive Spirit

Christmas brings with itself the special message of hope, happiness and joy and merriment. Santa Claus tells us to never let go that magical element of innocence from your life.

On 24th December 2024 the students of Pre-School E conducted the Christmas Assembly. The assembly began with the prayer followed by an enactment celebrating the birth of Jesus Christ. Each one of them enacted their part with enigmatic charm and enthralled the spectators. Children sang the Christmas carols- 'Jingle bells and Deck the halls'. Each one was outstanding and kept the audience enthralled.

Santa Claus mingled with the audience and amused everyone with its charm. The children were filled with joy and exhilaration as Santa came dancing to the tune of "Jingle Bells". The children carried home the message of sharing and caring as well as the pleasure and pride of spreading peace, true to the spirit of the celebration. The effort which marked the commendable team work of students and teachers was appreciated by Senior mistress Ms Roopa Arora & coordinator Ms Ritu Varma who attended the assembly.

Happy Children’s Day

14 th November 2024 dawned with a lot of excitement and colour in the Pre Primary wing. All the children came to school dressed up in their colourful and smart party clothes. Pre School -F presented a musical and foot tapping assembly where the children sang and danced about loving themselves as they are. The fun didn’t stop there as there was a special magic show and a surprise gift for the little ones.

Pre-Primary wing celebrated Diwali with a spectacular assembly. Students of Pre-Primary D danced and narrated the story of Lord Rama's victory. Their vibrant performances and creations embodied the spirit of Diwali, spreading joy and emphasizing values of kindness and compassion. Children also showcased their artistic talents through Diya painting, flower Rangoli, and decorations.

Mahatma Gandhi Jayanti Celebration

On October 1, 2024, the students of Pre-Primary H celebrated the life and legacy of Mahatma Gandhi, the Father of our Nation, through a special assembly. The event was an unforgettable experience, as our young students showcased their talents and instilled the values of truth, compassion, and courage in the minds of their peers. The assembly began with a heartfelt tribute to Gandhiji's favorite bhajan, "Raghupati Raghav Raja Ram," which left the audience spellbound. A skit brought to life the story of Gandhi's bravery and wisdom, while soulful songs and dances echoed the message of love, bravery and non- violence. We are proud of our little Gandhis for putting up an incredible show and spreading the message of peace and harmony!

Teacher's Day

‘We love our Teachers’’ by Pre- Primary C was an assembly presented on 3 rd September, to mark the occasion of Teachers day which is celebrated on the birthday of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan the second President of India. The special assembly was held at the Pre- Primary Wing assembly ground. It started with the singing of a prayer by the children, followed by songs and dances to express their gratitude and love for their teachers. The children spoke about the theme of Teacher’s Day. Their efforts were well appreciated by the headmistress and senior mistress. It was a well conducted assembly which gave children the exposure to stage performances and boosted their confidence. An assembly which wherein all the children participated and were applauded for their efforts.

Janmashtami Celebration

22th August 2024

Delhi Public School Mathura Road , Pre-Primary wing celebrated Janmashtami on Thursday, August 22, 2024. A splendid and colourful performance by the Students of Pre-Primary-F, depicting the birth of Lord Krishna with a message of victory of good over evil. Students truly communicated the message that "Every moment of life is worth a Celebration.”

Children came dressed in ethnic wear as Radha and Krishna and various characters from Lord Krishna's life. The presentation depicted the varied images of life from birth to manhood transporting one to the world of splendour, and legend. It was a beautiful presentation with joyous melody and twirling dancers making the day all the more memorable for the children.

Good Etiquette and Healthy Eating Habits

25th July 2024

The children of Pre-Primary B conducted an assembly on Good Etiquette and Healthy Eating Habits. The assembly focused on the importance of good habits and etiquette, fostering a culture of respect and responsibility among students. The children showcased daily routines that promote health, such as regular exercise, balanced nutrition, and maintaining personal hygiene. The importance of table manners and hygiene was emphasized by highlighting them through a song. Students shared their thoughts on the significance of saying "please" and "thank you," which go a long way in building positive relationships. Through engaging skits and songs, attendees were left inspired to embrace these values daily. By cultivating good habits and practicing proper etiquette, we can create a healthier and more harmonious school environment.

Friendship

8 th August 2024

The assembly was presented by Pre Primary E on the topic “Friendship”. It started with a beautiful prayer which was sung by all the children followed by some short skits which showcased the true value of friendship i.e. loving, caring and helping your friends at all times. There was 100 percent participation in the dance presentation which was loved by all.

On 21st August 2025, Classes V-E and V-F conducted the morning assembly on the theme “Our Heroes.”

The assembly began with a motivational prayer led by the Vice Principal, Ms. Soni Saxena , followed by a soulful choir performance, the thought for the day, and the latest international, national, sports, and school news presented by the young correspondents of the DPS Newsroom.

A short act was presented by the students, portraying the selfless contributions of unsung heroes from all walks of life — soldiers, doctors, environmentalists, teachers, and grandparents — reminding everyone of their vital role in shaping society.

The assembly concluded with words of encouragement by our esteemed Vice Principal, who guided the students on the importance of diligence, time management and preparation for their upcoming Half-Yearly Examinations.

Independence Day Special Assembly – Class IV

Students of Class IV presented a spirited Independence Day special assembly featuring a patriotic choir, an inspiring thought of the day, and the latest news updates. The presentation journeyed through key milestones of India’s freedom struggle — beginning with Rani Lakshmi Bai’s 1857 revolt, Lala Lajpat Rai’s fearless protests, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s unifying vision, Bal Gangadhar Tilak’s clarion call of “Swaraj,” Bhagat Singh’s supreme sacrifice, Gandhiji’s Dandi March, and Subhash Chandra Bose’s Indian National Army.

The highlight was the grand finale dance, with the vibrant tricolour filling the stage and evoking pride in every heart. Principal Dr. Ram Singh, in his motivational address, reminded students of the supreme sacrifices made by our freedom fighters and urged them to uphold their duties as citizens in today’s India — standing united and never allowing divisions on the basis of caste, creed, or religion.

Assembly On The Theme Friendship (II A & B)

On 1st August 2025, Classes II A and II B of the Primary Wing presented a lively assembly on the theme Friendship.

The programme began with the 'Thought of the Day' and the news headlines, followed by a heartfelt poem highlighting the qualities of a good friend and the value of friendship.

A cheerful dance performance further celebrated the spirit of togetherness. The assembly beautifully conveyed that friendship is a bond to be treasured and nurtured.

The young performers were successful in spreading smiles and warmth, reiterating the essence of 'Friendship'.

DPS Mathura Road Primary Wing Felicitates Young Achievers

On 28 July 2025, DPS Mathura Road, Primary Wing ,held a special morning assembly to felicitate its outstanding students who have brought laurels to the school in various fields. The ceremony honoured winners of the IGKO Olympiad, Open Roller Skating Championship, Heritage Art Competition, Tennis, Swimming, Taekwondo, Abacus, Chess, and Theatre Performance.

Principal Dr. Ram Singh graced the occasion and personally felicitated the achievers. He applauded their dedication and excellence, inspiring all students to become well-rounded individuals by exploring their talents beyond academics.

Classes V-A and V-B - Importance of Yoga

On 11July 2025, under the able leadership of Dr. Ram Singh ,students of Classes V-A and V-B conducted a meaningful assembly on the theme “Importance of Yoga” . Highlights included reflections on yoga, demonstrations of key asanas, a fusion dance, and quotes from renowned yoga gurus.

Students expressed their gratitude to Principal Dr. Ram Singh for air conditioners in their classrooms. He commended their efforts, felicitated achievers in karate, music, dance, and theatre, and encouraged students to maintain personal hygiene, uphold discipline, and cultivate a lifelong love for learning.

On 15 May 2025, at the amphitheatre, tiny tots of Classes 1C and 1D of DPS Mathura Road presented a delightful assembly on the theme 'Empathy and Kindness'.

On 8th May 2025, the students of Classes II-C and II-F of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, presented a lively assembly on the theme “School is My Happy Place” under the inspiring leadership of Principal Dr. Ram Singh.

The program began with a thoughtful message and news headlines, followed by a special segment where students shared heartfelt reasons why they love their school. They spoke with pride about the vibrant classrooms, clean facilities, caring teachers, and the wide range of co-curricular activities and sports — including swimming, skating, cricket, basketball, volleyball, football, table tennis, pickleball, shooting, athletics, gymnastics, and more. To underscore the pivotal role of discipline across diverse spheres, students personified eminent figures such as Sachin Tendulkar, Shovana Narayan, Lata Mangeshkar, and Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam. Classes I C and I D assembly conducted an assembly on 19.7.24 in the Junior MPH on the theme-Inclusion-Colours of Life. All the sections of grade I attended the assembly.  The assembly started with a melodious choir followed by news. Thought for the day was also based on the theme of Inclusion. To mark the commencement of the new academic year, 2024-25, a welcome assembly was held on April 3rd, 2024. The Headmistress, Ms. Manisha Varma, in her address, emphasize the paramount importance of discipline, will power and regularity in the journey of education. The acme of the assembly was the announcement of the primary school’s prefectorial body by the Headmistress. The declaration of the prefectorial body motivated the other students to foster leadership skills, cultivate a sense of selfless service and collective responsibility towards community. The assembly concluded with a devotional dance performance followed by the National Anthem.

A Class Assembly was presented by the children of Classes III A and III D on the Topic, ‘Peace and Harmony’. It commenced with a melodious choir followed by the inspiring play. Students emphasised the profound connections between peace within themselves; harmony with others, and the well-being of our global community. Students understood that Peace means dealing with disputes and resolving conflicts fairly and properly by staying neutral, to further the welfare of each individual. The assembly concluded with a foot tapping dance number.

The assembly commenced with a tranquil prayer, invoking blessings upon all participants and attendees. Following the prayer, the school choir graced the stage, harmonizing to the cheerful melody of "Happy Now," setting a joyful tone for the gathering.

Subsequently, the latest news was disseminated, broadening students' horizons by exposing them to current events. Next, a thought-provoking message was shared, urging everyone to cherish the moments of laughter, camaraderie, and learning experienced within the school community.

A dynamic skit ensued, captivating the audience with its portrayal of the vibrant atmosphere that characterizes the school as a haven of happiness. The energy soared as a group of talented students took to the stage, their movements synchronized to the lively rhythm of "Can't Stop the Feeling."

As the assembly drew to a close, the resounding message of happiness echoed throughout the hall, reaffirming the belief that the school is indeed a place where smiles are abundant and cherished memories are made.

The Independence Day Assembly, held on 13 August 2025 at the Senior School Ground, was a vibrant celebration of patriotism, unity, and cultural pride. The programme commenced with a solemn prayer, followed by a warm introduction by the comperes. The school choir presented a melodious medley of patriotic songs that filled the atmosphere with patriotic fervour.

Students, dressed as eminent freedom fighters, delivered stirring speeches recounting the sacrifices of India’s heroes, while the ‘Kissa Goi ‘ segment brought historical tales alive. A graceful patriotic dance further enriched the celebration. The prize distribution ceremony recognised the outstanding achievements of students in various competitions.

Principal , Dr Ram Singh addressed the gathering, inspiring all with his words. The release of tricolour balloons and the Swachhta Pledge reaffirmed our collective responsibility towards the nation. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, echoing the spirit of freedom.

On 7 August 2025, the school assembly began with a melodious choir, filling the atmosphere with harmony. This was followed by a graceful performance of Saraswati Vandana, seeking the blessings of the Goddess of Learning. The assembly also featured a prize distribution ceremony, where achievers in various fields were honoured, inspiring the entire gathering.

Honoring Mahatma Gandhi: Reflections and Cultural Celebrations on Gandhi Jayanti

On October 1, 2024, Gandhi Jayanti was observed through a vibrant commemorative program honoring Mahatma Gandhi's lasting impact. The proceedings initiated with melodious Bhajans, succeeded by a news update, thought-provoking student reflections, and shloka recitals. A dynamic dance performance illustrating Indian cultural heritage and Gandhi's biography captivated the audience. Student award recipients from the previous month were recognized to foster motivation. Principal Dr. Ram Singh delivered the closing address, emphasizing the contemporary relevance of Gandhi's principles for students and encouraging them to excel. The event concluded with the National Anthem, leaving participants inspired to incorporate Gandhi's ideals into their lives.

On 15.10.2024, Class X conducted an assembly for classes IX to XII, during which our esteemed Principal Dr. Ram Singh announced the top five class-wise and section-wise performers, as well as students securing 10% improvement from the previous year's exam results. This inspired the students to strive for greater academic excellence.

DPS Mathura Road student Vivaan Moda of Class VII-E brought laurels to our school by winning Rank 1 in Delhi State Cube Competition in the prestigious 3x3 cube event. Delhi State Cube Competition 2024 was conducted last month across Delhi NCR by DCA. More than 200 students participated in it across all ages from 8 years to 18 years. This is Vivaan’s third major win in Cubing sport this year. He also won Rank 4th in International Cube Championship and Rank 2nd in National Cube Championship last month. Heartiest Congratulations to Vivaan and the proud parents for his achievement !!
