A farewell assembly was organised by class IV on 31st January 2020 for the outgoing students of class V. The highlight of the assembly was an awe inspiring ppt showcasing the colourful memories of a student’s journey in Junior School. Thereafter, students passed on potted plants spreading the message of peace and harmony and also passed the responsibilities for their progress. The day also witnessed mesmerizing dance performance by students of class IV which enthralled one and all.The Headmistress, Ms Ranjana Dean encouraged students with her words of wisdom and wished them the best for their future endeavours. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

DPS, Mathura Road marked 70 Years of Excellence in a celebration held at Siri Fort Auditorium on 27th December 2019.The Chief Guest was His Excellency Anil Baijal, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and the other Guests of honour were Padmashree Prof. (Dr) Mahesh Verma, Vice Chancellor –Guru Gobind Singh IP University and Mr Naveen Jindal, a renowned industrialist and politician.

Padmabhusan V.K Shunglu –Chairman, DPS Society and Vice Chairman, DPS Mathura Road presided over the event and congratulated the school on the benchmark of completion of seventy years.

The programme began with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the dignitaries. Extending a warm welcome to the distinguished guests, Ms. Deeksha Khera, Principal apprised the audience of the innumerable achievements of the school since its inception.

The distinguished guests released the school magazine “The Annual”, followed by a School choir and a mellifluous group dance-“Samagam”.

Ms Ranjana Dean, Headmistress, summarised before the audience the journey behind 'Navras' and the hard work of the students and the entire team of teachers that went into it.

The highlight of the evening was the musical dance drama-“NAVRAS” which was an in house production right from script writing to direction and production by Ms Rani Jha and her team of dedicated teachers.

Students of classes IV and V portrayed beautifully the nine emotions or rasas as experienced by a human being in different life situations, without which life would be dry and tasteless.

With 100% participation by the students the audience witnessed an amalgamation of talent amidst great euphoria and enthusiasm. The entire event was a grand success and was highly applauded by one and all.

The Vote of Thanks was proposed by the Vice Principal (Academics), Ms. Reema Sharma. The programme concluded with the National Anthem.

World Mental Health Day 2019 was celebrated with full boom across the junior wing on October 10th 2019.

The theme for the same was ‘Inculcating Happiness’.

In an effort to create happiness among children, the task of appreciation was undertaken wherein each student appreciated each other as a gesture of love and compassion.

Children were made aware of the essence of Happiness.

A video was showcased across all classes impinging on Happiness in Modern times. Further students designed posters and cards.

Teachers Wore BLUE on this day to Propagate Mental wellbeing.

In a Nutshell; The Mental Health Day was fruitful initiative.

The Primary Wing organised “The Heritage Week” form 24th to 27th September 2019.

Dr. Padmavati Dua, a Delhi-based radiologist was the Hon’ble Chief Guest on the inaugural day along with the Principal Mrs Deeksha Khera, Vice Principal Mrs Reema Sharma, Senior Mistress Mrs Renu Puri, Academic Coordinator Mrs Roopa Arora, members of the PTA body and dear parents.

The event unfolded with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the distinguished assembly of guests. They guests were welcomed with potted plants.

The Headmistress, Ms Ranjana Dean in her address stated that Indian culture is one of the oldest, richest and most diverse cultures of all times and through this programme we have ventured to familiarize our little ones with India’s rich cultural legacy.

The cultural programme began with students of class III depicting the traditional dances and music of the states of Punjab, Rajasthan, West Bengal and Maharashtra through a musical dance drama followed by Class II covering the states of Kerala, Ladakh, Assam and Gujarat. Glimpses of their traditions, languages, clothes, customs etc. were shown with an aim to bridge the gap between generations in both language and culture.

The tiny tots of class I celebrated and paid tribute to the bravery and the undying spirit of our soldiers and freedom fighters.Their magnificent performances drew a huge applause from the audience.

The Principal Ms. Deeksha Khera applauded the efforts put in by all and congratulated the students for their stupendous performance.

The Chief Guest appreciated the school for putting up a great show and for providing an exposure to the future generation towards our heritage. She ended with a song "Mile Sur Mera Tumhara" promoting national integration and unity in diversity.

The Last leg of The Heritage week was completed with “The Tastes of India”, a food fiesta showcasing variety of food stalls ranging from delicacies from Punjab, Ladakh, Tamil Nadu and many other states. The excitement of the students knew no bounds as they all lined up to taste the most delectable and appetising food items.

It was a fitting end to a magnanimous show of Indian Culture and Heritage.

A farewell was organised in honour of the outgoing teacher Ms Sangeeta Mehta on 30th August 2019. The day was a fiesta devoted to the twenty years spent together with students and teachers to reminisce joyous moments.

Principal Ms. Deeksha Khera, Vice Principal Ms. Reema Sharma, Headmistress Ms. Ranjana Dean, Senior Mistress Ms Renu Puri along with members of the staff graced the occasion. A spectacular assembly was presented by students of class I on the theme of “Green Day”, advising young minds about ways to save the environment. It concluded with a tree plantation ceremony. Proving her love for nature Ms.Sangeeta Mehta donated six plants to the school leaving behind a message of planting trees.

Later on, the programme in the afternoon was lead off with a Sai Vandana followed by felicitations by the heads and reps. Teachers presented medley of foot-tapping songs, speeches expressing their deep love and gratitude towards her and wished her all the best for her retirement years.

Green Day was celebrated in school with the motto of Go Green. The idea of spreading the message among the children was to save environment by nurturing the plants. On this occasion to make the purpose more significant, the staff and the students of the Primary Wing came in green coloured clothes. The day began with the short and informative assembly by the children of classes I- E and I-F. By means of choir and presentation they depicted the importance of plants. In continuation the children of class IV gave a small presentation. There after the farewell of Ms. Sangeeta Mehta was held. She donated six fruit trees to the school. This was followed by the tree plantation by the Principal Ms. Deeksha Khera, Headmistress- Ms. Ranjana Dean, Sr. Mistress- Ms. Renu Puri and Activity Incharges- Ms. Vineeta Batra and Ms. Poonam Mitra. Various activities like slogan writing, colouring and presentation were organised for the children in classes and green tiffin was a special attraction by the children of classes I and II.

Parle G (the G which originally stood for glucose but later the brand slogan stated G for GENIUS) is one of the oldest biscuit brands in India and the largest selling biscuit in the world.

62 students from class III accompanied by Ms. Renuka Kohli, Ms.Upasana Dixit and Ms.Upasana Khanna were taken to experience the process of manufacturing of Biscuit on 20th August, 2019.

56 students of class IV and 47 students of class V accompanied by the teachers Mrs.Rina Yadav, Mrs.Sneh Kaushik, Mrs.Sangeeta Mehta, Ms. Rani Jha and Ms.Sonali Suri had an educational visit to the Parle Biscuit Factory at Bahadurgarh on 21st August 2019. Soon after entering the premises an official took the students to the manufacturing unit, where they got to know about various processes like kneading, mixing, shaping, baking, cooling to the final stage of packing. The students were also shown the printing section. The students were then taken to the auditorium where they enjoyed a documentary related to the origin of the brand ‘PARLE’, its founder and various products manufactured by Parle.The icing on the cake was the chips and mango bite toffee they were gifted complimentary before they moved out. Overall, it was an informative, knowledgeable and memorable trip for the students.

Children of all the classes from Nursery to class 5 went to watch this movie at Eros,Jangpura-The Secret Life of Pets 2.It is a 2019 American 3D computer animated comedy film produced by Illumination, directed by Chris Renaud, co-directed by Jonathan del Val, and written by Brian Lynch. It is the sequel to The Secret Life of Pets (2016) .Children had a gala time sitting in a movie hall watching their favourite movie with their friends while sipping coke and enjoying the popcorn.

A farewell ceremony was arranged in honor of the outgoing Headmistress, Mrs. Anju Sharma on January 31, 2019. The students of the Primary Wing were lined up outside her room to present her with roses and handmade cards. The students of all the classes 1 to 5 presented various cultural items. Later on, a tree plantation ceremony was also organized by the school to honor her passion for plants and environment.

The program in the evening was spectacular. Each class rep presented Mrs Anju Sharma with an exotic bouquet. Some teachers delivered their speech on behalf of the staff which were heart touching. The teachers wished her welfare and advised her to enjoy her retirement to the fullest.

A farewell ceremony was arrangedin honour of the outgoing Principal, Mr. Manohar Lal on March 29, 2019. The programme in the afternoon was graced by his family members, Vice Principals, Headmistress, and Senior Mistress, teachers of the Pre-Primary and Primary Wing and the administration staff.

It began with a ceremonial lighting the lamp by the dignitaries followed by Ganesh Vandana. The welcome address was rendered the activity in-chargesfollowed by the felicitations by the Vice Principals, Headmistress and Senior Mistress. Each Class Rep presented Mr. Manohar Lal with an exotic bouquet.

The audience witnessed some of the spectacular performances by the teachers. They also delivered their speech expressing their deep love and gratitude to the outgoing Principal for dynamism and his constant support towards everyone.
