‘Adventure sports for students are highly motivational and practical which are unlikely to be seen from the normal classroom environment. Adventure aims at increasing productivity, encourages students to work in different working environment, it builds team spirit, friendship, and trust amongst each other.’
To inculcate various life skills, Delhi Public School, Mathura Road in collaboration with Rocksport, organized an adventure Camp, for the students of class 5. These activities aimed at maintaining fitness levels and the physical- mental balance of a student.
The students were divided into 8 groups and each group was assigned a group leader. The group leaders guided the students at each point of time. The young kids gained new perspective as they got to face different obstacles in the form of activities like Burma Bridge, Commando Net, Commando Crawl, Burma Bridge, Mine Field Maze, Tug of War, Hamster Wheel, Zorb Ball, Zorbing etc.
Students were completely involved in these activities and learnt to build good relations with their friends, gain the problem-solving skills, and respect the fellow team members and their individual contributions.
It was a day filled with fun and the students returned to their classrooms with enriching experience and memories to be cherished forever.
