National Technology Day Report Day and Date: Friday, 12.5.23:

VENUE: HALL NO. 4 & 5A, PRAGATI MAIDAN, DELHI

In compliance with CBSE Circular No: Acad-60/2023 dated: 10.05.2023

Government of India had declared 11th May as ‘National Technology Day’ in year 1999. It was decided to celebrate this year’s ‘National Technology Day’ as ‘National Technology Week’ from 11th to 14th May 2023 to showcase scientific achievements of technology breakthroughs since 2014, commemorating 25th year of National Technology Day.
The theme of this event was ‘School to Start - Up - Igniting Young Minds to Innovate’, wherein students from schools across India engaged with Atal Tinkering Labs (under Atal Innovation Mission of Govt. of India), participated and showcased technological innovation in Hall No.4, Pragati Maidan, Delhi. Further, participants/ exhibitors from 12 Ministries of Govt. of India also showcased a wide range of scientific innovations in Hall No.4 & 5A, Pragati Maidan, Delhi.

Students of Delhi Public School, Mathura Road, Delhi participated with zeal in this event. They visited the exhibition mentioned above at Pragati Maidan on 12.5.23(Friday) along with teachers and interacted actively with the exhibitors in both the halls. They met Dr. Jitendra Singh, Hon. Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology of India at the venue and interacted with him.

A poster making event was also organised at the school premises to celebrate the day.

There were sessions conducted on ‘Design Thinking and Entrepreneurship’ at the School Atal Tinkering by the ATL Incharge and ATL engineer for students of classes VI-VIII on 11.5.23 (National Technology Day).

This week (11.5.23-14.5.23) played a crucial role in inculcating a spirit of innovation and design thinking among our students. We appreciate the efforts of GOI and thank them for taking such initiatives.
